A look at the most prolific serial killers in world history.

H.H Holmes : Tortured, raped and killed victims in his purpose built hotel which became known as the "Murder Castle".

Amelia Dyer : Murdered hundreds of defenceless babies and infants over forty years.

Harold Shipman : Britain's most prolific serial killer and only British Doctor to date convicted of purposefully killing his patients.

Israel Keyes: Killed complete strangers at random using complex and supremely organized methods to avoid suspicion or detection. He would undoubtedly still be killing today if he had not broken his own rules and made a fatal mistake.

Pedro Lopez: Suspected of raping and killing over three hundred and fifty young girls. Was released from prison in the late nineties and has not been seen since although authorities suspect him of further crimes.
