Kate was called home by her father though she did not want to go. Her brother was getting married and her father seemed to care about the family's appearance more than her discomfort being around people that had made her life hard for her entire life. She had not been close to anyone and though she cared for her father; she knew in the back of her head something was wrong.
Nothing could have prepared her for what she had walked into. When the party was a setup, she was ready to go back to her home that she had built herself, but one thing stood in her way. One man whom she had known since her birth had been there and wanted to talk with her. When he had learned what was going on and where she was told to stay, he knew. He knew everything he had hoped he would never know.
That was when her world shifted in the worst way. Leaving her to navigate the uncarted with only his help.
