Daniel (Danny) C. Ornelas, served 29 years with The U.S. Border Patrol. Mr. Ornelas began his career with the Border Patrol beginning November 5, 1978, until his retirement on Jan 3, 2008. Mr. Ornelas, at retirement had a balance of more than one year of sick leave and so was given credit for 30 years. Mr. Ornelas began his career in Arizona within the Yuma Sector at Yuma Station. Mr. Ornelas performed Border Patrol duties as a Journeyman and Supervisory Border Patrol Agent at the Yuma Station as well as Blythe, California and Wellton, Arizona stations. Mr. Ornelas also worked as a training officer at Yuma Station and the Border Patrol Academies at Glynco, (Brunswick) Ga., Marana, Arizona, Artesia, New Mexico and Charleston, South Carolina.
