What's an old Victorian mansion without a ghost or two? Sixteen-year-old Sandy Carlson quickly discovers something's amiss, when the squeaking starts and doors slam and frigid air suddenly fills a room and objects move for no rational reason. Chapters alternate between the Carlsons, the new owners, and the former owners whose struggles continue past their deaths.
