Elsie Spicer Eells (1880-1963) was an American folklorist who traveled around the globe and collected tales of different nations, including that of Africa, South America and Western Europe. One of her fairy tale collection books, 'Tales of Giants From Brazil' represents the result of her folklorist research in Brazil. It was entitled that way because Eells considered Brazil to be '...the land of giant fruits and giant flowers'. In her work Eells noticed the inevitable influence that Portuguese immigrants made upon the culture of Brazil.
This amazing fairy-tale will tell you why the monkey still has a tail for we know that the monkey is the trickster of all trickster…
