Edgar Allan Poe (1809 – 1849) was an American author, poet, editor, and literary critic, considered part of the American Romantic Movement. Best known for his tales of mystery and the macabre. Poe was one of the earliest American practitioners of the short story, and is generally considered the inventor of the detective fiction genre.
“William Wilson” is a brief story by the greatest narrator of detective and mystical stories Edgar Allan Poe. The mail plot follows a man of a noble descent whose name is supposedly William Wilson. In this story the author describes the life of main character's profligate life including time of his childhood, early ages, when he was spending his lifetime in school in a so called “in a misty-looking village of England”. There he meets the same boy with the same odd manners with the same name that was very strange to him and who even was born on exactly the same date.
