Winterrail

When Interrail offered a one-off half price ticket sale for their 50th birthday it was too good to miss. Author GP Essex, a railway journalist and heritage railway volunteer took up the offer, but due to other commitments the three month journey took place in winter. Follow his trip through 14 countries on 147 (ish) trains, three ferries and a Brompton folding bicycle.
