World War III

World War III is the probable world future and leads to world termination. MAD [Mutually Assured Destruction] will not stop this; moreover the graduated deterrence doctrine will instead actually be the route to world conflict. Nor are there any psychological or political barriers; on the contrary politics will bring about and fuel the war. The war itself will start small, then increase in both scale and intensity.
