Yes I Can No I Won't Adventures with My Poppa

The picture book, Yes I Can! No I Won't! Adventures with My Poppa!! contains two stories.

The first is entitled "No Bath, Poppa!" The story is about Liney, a curious, adventurous four-year-old from Brooklyn and his doting grandfather from Connecticut. A pasta-covered Liney refuses to take a bath and have his hair washed. Liney's bath is anything but routine! He finds himself in rough ocean waters with a pirate ship bearing down on him. A battle ensues—and while this is going on—Poppa is intent on finishing Liney's bath and shampoo. Imagination is at full throttle in this wild, fun-filled fantasy.

The second story, "Watering the Flowers," and continues to show the heartwarming relationship, as Liney wants to do what Poppa is doing: watering the flowers. He learns to make different sprays, then surprises Poppa by starting a water fight. Madcap action takes place during this knock-down, roll-around, laugh-a-minute story of fun mixed with unconditional love. Thirsty flowers, "You can't catch me," and engaging, wet characters make this an afternoon to remember!
