출판사 설명
An Apple Books Classic edition.
Sarah Crewe is a firm believer that character, not money, makes one a princess. Either way, the kind-hearted girl is in luck: while her wealthy father serves with the British army in India, she’s sent to Miss Minchin’s elite boarding school in London. But when Sarah’s father passes away, the money runs dry and the headmistress makes Sarah’s life miserable, forcing her to sleep in a freezing attic and work long hours.
What will happen to the little princess now that she has no one to care for her? With its empathic heroine, this magical tale of lost-and-found fortune has enchanted and inspired readers since 1905.

Nice book for girls
I picked it up out of nostalgia. I had a lot of fun, it feels like a fairy-tale. I haven’t read a children’s book in a long time, and it was almost refreshing to read something where it’s made very clear who are the villains and who are the good guys-Although I’ve realized I’ve grown out of these tales and can’t enjoy them for what they are. The way it depicts servants and beggars feels outdated, and It felt a bit icky to read how characters like becky were presented. But it’s a very old book(from the 1900s I think) with old values. The ending was almost confusing to me, but I assume it means Sara is on the path to become a benevolent noble lady? It sounds like I’m complaining but I enjoyed the book & I’m giving it four stars.
