However, this book portrays the opposite view, and is backed by several historians. Either way, Earl Charles Mordaunt the third of Peterborough, was an amazing, if not eccentric man. His exploits and genius are, I think, too often over-shadowed by his flaws of character. This book details the life and methods of the early 1700 century in a way that remains interesting yet teaches a great deal of history. Very interesting and fun to read with short character stories to keep it entertaining.
