When magazine editor Loveday and her detective partner Sam go on holiday to the Scottish Highlands things take a dark turn as they stumble upon a grisly murder. But another shock is on the way. Loveday recognises the victim.

And their return home to Cornwall brings another gruesome discovery: a second murder, and another familiar face.

As the investigation intensifies, Loveday joins forces with Sam and Scottish detective Jack Drummond to hunt down the assassin.
