Earthquakes in California in 1890 and 1891

While no one could ever have predicted the 1906 earthquake, tectonic movement on the California coast had long been documented. This brief report, written 16 years before the San Francisco earthquake, contains dozens of reports of smaller quakes with their perceived effects and intensity when applicable.
