In Pericle's Athens with Socrates

It all began with an owl that fluttered around Katie and Tom, who were classmates on a school trip to mythical Athens. The bird guided our two friends through a secret passageway to the Acropolis where, suddenly, they were approached by a smiling old man with dark eyes and a white beard. It was the philosopher Socrates in person! From then on the Parthenon, with the great gold and ivory statue of Athena, the crowded agora, and the theater were to have no secrets. Visiting a potter’s workshop, having a picnic under the olive trees, watching boys training in the gym was a fantastic experience. And worth more than anything was the a device they received from master Socrates.
