Publisher Description

The debtor, Nan Beth Alt, appeals from an order of the district court affirming the bankruptcy courts dismissal of her bankruptcy petition on the grounds that she is ineligible for Chapter 13 relief because the amount of her liquidated, non-contingent, unsecured debt exceeded the statutory limit, and because the record showed that her petition was not brought in good faith. The district court sustained the bankruptcy courts decision, focusing principally on the issue of good faith. Alt challenges both aspects of the bankruptcy courts ruling. We find no error and affirm.
