San Francisco Hotels and Reconstruction

Published a year after the fire, San Francisco Hotels and Reconstruction is a pictorial history of the destruction and rebuilding effort of San Francisco with particular emphasis placed on the hotel buildings. Most great cities have so many visitors, either for work or pleasure, that having adequate places to stay is vital for the city's success. When it is the city by the bay, the need becomes imperative. This work follows the end, and beginning of, what would become one of America's top tourist destinations.
