Publisher Description

MEMORANDUM* Maria Isabel Somarriba-Soto, a native and citizen of Nicaragua, petitions for review of the Board of Immigration Appeals' (""BIA"") decision denying her motion to reopen deportation proceedings so that she could apply for suspension of deportation under section 244(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, (""INA""), 8 U.S.C. § 1255(a). We have jurisdiction pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1105a(a), and we deny the petition. Somarriba-Soto contends that the BIA abused its discretion by denying her motion to reopen because she established that she would suffer extreme hardship if deported. This contention lacks merit.
