Tangle, Tenacity, & Trust

This illustrated fable is a story about launching toward new goals, losing one's self and one's way, yet staying the course to the end. The process of becoming is a journey. A little purple bee follows her dream to become a pollinator in a special pollen patch, but the bee line to her goal is not as straight of a shot as she anticipated.



This story can be a teaching tool that normalizes challenges and disillusionment for art therapists who make their journey toward professional credentialing and do the work they trained to do. The illustrations and story are the arts-based outcome to a study of art therapists' developmental experiences on their journey toward credentialing. Though made in response to the art therapists' professional developmental crisis, this story is applicable to anyone who is on the journey to becoming.
