 Astoria Havard, Battle Hawk of Diwan, had never been one to run away from a fight. Until the day her home fell, and she abandoned her sisters. Raised by her parents to always be the loyal soldier waiting in the sidelines, she knows things she is not supposed to.

 Finding sanctuary onboard the pirate ship of the Storm Queen, Astoria lets herself get swept away by the young god of air. But in joining the crew, she is reunited with the god of water, a man who shares a history with her that the Battle Hawk has never forgotten.

 Driven by guilt to return to Diwan, Astoria hopes to fix what she broke. Her time is limited by a fatal illness, something she is happy to use to bring her sisters back together. Unwilling to let her go, the two gods she loves follow close behind.

When her family is threatened, Astoria will do whatever it takes to protect them. Even if it means a deal she made in her youth catches up with her.
