Publisher Description

A simple wire transfer of funds to another partys account at a brokerage firm does not create any fiduciary or similar duties by the brokerage firm to the transferor. The inclusion of the transferors name after the account holders name in the further credit field of the transfer form did not create a duty of the brokerage to the transferor. Nor was a duty created by fact that an intermediary in the transfer process introduced a typographical error in the account number and the brokerage firm corrected the error rather than rejecting the transfer. We affirm.
