[U] Frank Coluccio Construction Co., Inc. v. City of Everett

Frank Coluccio Construction Company, Inc. was the successful bidder on a public works project that involved tunneling under Interstate 5 to replace damaged drainage pipes. The project failed under Coluccios management. Claiming the project was not safe, Coluccio walked off the job, and another contractor finished the project. A jury found Coluccio breached the contract and awarded damages to the City for completion costs and delay damages. Because we find no legal error and the evidence was amply sufficient to support the verdict, we affirm.
