Publisher Description

A South Dakota federal jury convicted Michael D. Sanders of being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) (1994). On direct appeal, Sanders argues that the District Court committed three errors: (1) refusing to suppress evidence, including the firearm, seized from a vehicle during a traffic stop; (2) instructing the jury that the police officers stop and search of the car were legal; and (3) refusing to allow Sanderss wife to testify regarding the measures she took to keep firearms away from him. We affirm.
