Le Devin is a small island off the coast of Brittany. For more than a hundred years two communities have fought for control of the Island's one beach against the backdrop of ever-encroaching seas and an unchanging life.

For the returning Mado, though, the island's sleepy exterior hides dual threats to her community's survival. Can she overcome the death of her mother, and her family's secrets, to bring hope back to her village?
