Since their bitter divorce, Lisa and Rolf have forged new and separate lives. Rolf has moved out of Beacon Bay and is now an internationally acclaimed author. Lisa's remained in the little town, a pillar of her community.
They're managing just fine until a cyclone brings a massive tree smashing into Lisa's roof - into the home where they raised their family, the home Rolf built.
When their son Dave convinces Rolf that he must do the repairs, tensions abound. It doesn't help that Rolf arrives in the Bay with Renata, a glamorous opera star, and when her pretty young publicist joins the mix, there are complications for Dave as well.
Rolf's keen to finish the repairs and leave. Lisa's focus is her neighbourhood's recovery. They don't expect to reconnect and Lisa certainly has no plans to share the one guilty memory that has haunted her for decades.
Can they get through this with their hearts intact?
