The emoji keyboard is one of the fastest developing languages in the world.  In fact, the 2015 word of the year was an emoji.

Ninety-two per cent of the online population use them. Many believe emojis make it easier to express feelings and connect with other people. 

This keyboard, which has a range of different visual images, has become a fantastic tool in my classroom. Children respond positively to using a tool they spend a lot of their free time using. The visual element of the keyboard allows children to generate vocabulary and express ideas much more confidently.
