Publisher Description

It was around 600 BC—200 BC, the land was filled with bloodthirsty, war mongering, power craving men. While the power circles were trying to secure their existing boundaries and grab new pieces of land, Adhavan was much intrigued by men of greater wisdom, inherent divinity, and supernatural powers, known as Siddhars (South Indian Mystics). They triggered in him the ultimate quest—the quest for God. It led him to Siddhar Macham, who took him in, and bestowed upon him the highest states of spiritual experiences a human being can ever attain. The ultimate truth of the self enlightened him. Eventually he stayed with their family, won all their hearts, and befriended his son Killivalavan—the greatest warrior of the region. Their friendship and individual accomplishments so naturally threatened the very existence of the local power circles and their social status. This brewed red hot jealousy, not only among the social elites of the power circle, but as well as within Siddhar Macham’s family.

‘What happened then?’, ‘What did they do?’, ‘How it all happened?’ are the questions the novel will answer for itself. Thus, it has been drawn into a story of conspiracy, war, betrayal, love, honor, family sentiments, and spiritual experiences in the right proportions, with a bit of additional stress on humanity and its salvation.

In another perspective, this book, this spiritual, political, social, family based emotional story line will not only make you question the most fundamental beliefs on which humanity has evolved and is still evolving, but will also be an eye-opener to the possible spiritual experiences humankind can attain. On the human excellence part, the novel also slightly touches upon asthma siddhis (eight supernatural powers); those that are beyond human grasp, but well within human reach, just to emphasize the phenomenal possibilities human being can achieve.

Of all, finally and most importantly, this novel is also a testament of author’s own spiritual experiences that he experienced on his own, and those that were bestowed upon him by siddhars, especially by his Guru, Siddhar Ayya Pillai. They are quoted throughout this book, through various characters portrayed, and are explicitly, specifically, highlighted using pull quotes.

80% of the sales of this book will be donated to a non-profit organization—Alpha at Omega foundation—and will be spent on development and research on humanity.
