Beautiful Buried Secrets

BEAUTIFUL BURIED SECRETS

Some secrets should stay buried.

At twenty-two, Angelique Summers has lost the only family she has ever known.

Her mother disappeared without a trace when Angelique was six. Now the woman who raised her is dead, she has never known her father, and the only thing standing between Angelique and homelessness is a rambling old artist's cottage overlooking the Pacific in Laguna Beach, a cottage she isn't even certain belongs to her.

She needs answers.

Instead, she finds Maxwell Cole.

With the help of Max and his husband, Charlie, Angelique begins searching for the truth about the mother who vanished sixteen years earlier. But while Max digs into a past someone went to extraordinary lengths to conceal, Angelique takes an unexpected step toward securing her own future.

She takes a chance on modeling.

Almost overnight, the beautiful young artist becomes one of the most recognizable faces in the world.

And thousands of miles away, someone recognizes her.

Angelique's meteoric rise opens a door into a world she never knew existed: a powerful European family, unimaginable wealth, and the father she never knew.

But fame has done something else.

It has made Angelique impossible to hide.

Soon, questions about her mother lead to secrets someone desperately wants to keep buried. Then the threats begin. Someone is watching. And Max discovers that what happened sixteen years ago may be only one piece of a mystery reaching much further into the past.

At its center is Angelique.

And a family legacy someone may be willing to kill for.

Now Max must unravel the connection between a missing mother, a newly discovered father, a mysterious stranger searching for answers of his own, and a legacy powerful enough to make everyone surrounding Angelique a suspect.

Family secrets. Lies. Betrayals.

Angelique has spent most of her life wondering why her mother left her.

She may be about to discover that her mother disappeared for the one reason Angelique never imagined.

To keep her alive.
