They both thought working the ER on Christmas Eve was going to be a disaster. But then they fell in love...

Dr. Jodi Lynn never knew her parents. Growing up in foster care taught her that she can only rely on herself, and she's turned that tenaciousness into a successful career in emergency medicine.  Nothing ever distracts her from her job – at least until she finds herself working two consecutive holiday shifts with a tall, dark, and handsome doctor named Gavin.

When Gavin returns from his stint with Doctors in Disasters he's looking forward to meeting the new doctor at Portland Memorial Hospital. It only takes one look for him to know the truth: Jodi is the woman he's been looking for his entire life.  Jodi says she's not looking for anything serious, but he's going to use his charm – and his mom's homemade Christmas cookies – to wear her down.
