A Christmas Story

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Poor Natalie cried. She was lonely and sad. Her boyfriend left her and said he was going to a foreign land, which was far, far away, to help the needy.

She later found out that he lied.

Needy, she cried. "Hawaii?" she sniffed. "That's a foreign land? I hate him!" she yelled. "He's a liar, and I hope his pants catch fire!"

She cried into a pool of tears, having never been so unhappy in years.

Then she saw him, dressed in red, at the edge of her bed.

Had Santa heard her plea? Could it really be?

He was big and handsome and then some.

"Oh, Santa," she cried. "Thank you!"

Natalie would have the best Christmas yet.
