Publisher Description

Introduction Discursive activism can be defined as political speech, or speech that intervenes in hegemonic discourses, and that works at the level of language to change political cultures. In this paper, I explore the Australian feminist blogosphere in these terms, and propose a theoretical perspective from which to understand this community as a social movement. I draw on new discourse theory and new social movement theory in different ways to argue this point.
