Embu Women: Food Production and Traditional Knowledge‪.‬

This article reports on the results of a study on food production among Embu women in Kenya. As food production is a main source of income for rural women, and as it is strictly gendered, the author applies a feminist methodological framework to the study, and questions her own role as an insider/outsider. Cet article examine les resultats d'une etude sur la production de nourriture par les femmes embus, au Kenya. Comme la production de nourriture, strictement separee d'apres les sexes, constitue le gros du revenu des femmes rurales, l'auteure applique une structure de methodologie feministe a cette etude tout en questionnant son propre role d'etrangere / intime.
