Faithful Non-Monogamy: A Happy Wife’s Story

This is a true report told by an Arizona wife how over a period of time she began to see that to assure a long, stable marriage, she and her husband should be as open as possible about each other’s sexual wishes and fantasy fulfillment.

Early in her marriage she became aware that married friends were already having affairs and sexual flings that disrupted or broke marriages apart. She also learned that other married friends were enjoying sexual encounters with the full awareness of their spouses.

She gradually talked with her husband about her observations, and nudged him to introduce her to an expanded world of sexual adventure. They tried new things together… from visits to an adult store, to trying intimate toys, to a visit to a sex club. That led to their first involvement of another guy in their shared sex play.

Later, they re-evaluated what they had done, and reached the conclusion that (1) they both had enjoyed the new things they had tried, (2) they wanted more than a conventional monogamous marriage… but one without affairs, and (3) they were ready to let each other discretely experience more intimate play with others.

Over the seven years that have followed they both experienced sex with others, mostly while playing together. They rigidly avoided secrets while letting each other try new things… things that normally would not be part of a traditional marital relationship. They have concluded that the “faithful non-monogamous” lifestyle they have chosen is one other couples should consider.
