iTeach in Northern Ireland Schools.

Publisher Description

All across the country there are hundreds of schools, and thousands of students who are learning in classrooms that are being transformed by digital technology.

Increasingly the connected world that today’s students inhabit outside the classroom is being reflected within the classroom in ways that enhance and empower learning for all.

From small rural primary schools to large urban secondaries, from every demographic across the land technology is transforming what learning and teaching look like in the classrooms of today.

We have tried to give a snapshot of the impact of some of these changes in this book.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Belfast, iTeach work throughout Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales delivering a comprehensive range of training, planning and technical support to schools and the wider education sector that ensures iPad has an effective impact on teaching and learning. We support this with amazing initiatives such as Digital Leaders to empower pupils and iCode to get kids coding. Staffed by experienced teachers, all of whom are Apple Education Trainers, we work with over 3300 schools, colleges, local authorities, curriculum bodies and non profit organisations to ensure real and meaningful change with iPad as the tool. These are some examples of the impact that schools and students across Northern Ireland are seeing as they put technology at the heart of learning.
