KINNAUR

Dr Jogishwar Singh is a former IAS officer who served as Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur District in Himachal Pradesh state in India. Dr Singh did his PhD from Heidelberg University in Germany. His thesis was about Kinnaur District. After moving to Switzerland in 1984, Dr Singh served in senior positions in different banks there. He took retirement from full time employment at the end of 2018 after serving eleven years as Managing Director in the prestigious Edmond de Rothschild Group. Since the he has worked as an independent Swiss consultant. Dr Singh is fluent in seven languages, with good knowledge of Russian and Japanese as well.



Dr Lia Singh is a former gynecologist who specialized in infertility treatments at the university hospital in Lausanne (CHUV). After several years, she made a career change, doing a diploma in conducting choir from the Conservatory in Lausanne. She also created and conducted a choir at the CHUV.



The couple Singh presently lives in Le Mont-su-Lausanne. They have two sons, respectively 38 and 35 years old. They also have seven year old twin grandsons.
