New Testament

In The Great Themes of Scripture: New Testament, Richard Rohr and Joseph Martos offer a compelling reading of the Christian scriptures, uncovering the unifying threads that run from the Gospels through Paul to Revelation. Drawing from talks that shaped Rohr’s early ministry, the authors present Scripture not as abstract doctrine, but as a living story of transformation that is centred on relationship, surrender and the movement of the Spirit.

Through themes like the reign of God, the paschal mystery, the gift of the Spirit and the emergence of community as the ‘body of Christ,’ this book shows how the New Testament invites readers into a new way of being. The text challenges literalism and instead emphasises meaning, experience and spiritual growth.

Accessible yet theologically rich, this work is ideal for readers seeking a holistic, experiential understanding of the New Testament.
