For years, I’ve crushed on my neighbor from afar. Too bad he hates my guts because I broke his baby brother’s heart otherwise, I’d have made a move already. I suspect that we might be fated mates, but unless I get the chance to scent him, I’ll never know for sure. Riling him up has become a hobby of mine and I get the best response from him every time I win our neighborhood’s annual Christmas decorating contest.

For years, I’ve fought my attraction to my neighbor by hiding behind the grudge I’m holding for how he broke my baby brother’s heart. The bickering we do whenever we see each other could be considered foreplay with how it riles me up. However, when it comes to Christmas decorating, nothing gets me angrier than that smug look on his face whenever he wins the neighborhood contest. One of these days, I’ll either kiss or slap that smug grin off his face.
