Welcome to YOUR GUIDE TO THE PUERTO RICAN SPIRIT. This Guidebook will introduce you to the spirit of the Puerto Rican people based on video clips from the ¡OJALÁ! movie. The goal of this Guidebook is to help you better understand Puerto Rico and the resilient spirit of the Puerto Rican people. You will learn about the wishes, hopes and dreams of the Puerto Rican people after hurricane Maria. Overcoming many challenges, they have come together and are rebuilding their lives to not simply survive, but thrive. The Puerto Rican spirit is very optimistic which is why the film is called ¡OJALÁ! Note: Ojalá is a Spanish word used to express wishing and hopefulness (I wish or I hope).
