One Nation Under God

An American anthem written over 100 years ago, in very picturesque language, this splendid panorama of words leaves many scenes vividly etched upon our minds. On a trip across America from the East into the West, Katherine Bates was able to view much of our scenic nation – which then begged to be written about! Her insight and enthusiasm for what she saw from the train in 1890s America inspired her to write about our country and its Maker.
