One Night Rewind

It is the day of the women’s A-League football Grand Final. Two Sydney teams are set to battle it out which is expected to bring the city itself to a standstill. There is a lot of focus on the Bears star striker, Ellie Cruise, playing in her first Grand Final, but there is even more attention on her lucky football boots which many believe are the key to the Bears winning the match.

Anicka, hungover, sore, and struggling to recollect the events of the previous night, receives a call from her roommate and best friend, Ellie. Letting nerves get the better of her, Ellie accidently left her lucky boots at home and asks Anicka to bring them to the stadium for her. A hungover Anicka begins her journey to the stadium until a mishap occurs which causes Anicka to accidently leave the famous lucky boots on a train. Desperate to get her best friend’s football boots back and to save the day, Anicka races across the city hunting down the lost boots.
While obscure events from last night continue to plague Anicka, and alter her course throughout the day, she does everything she can to track down the lost boots. From retrieving stolen anime figures, helping a popstar, teaming up with obsessed Star Wars cosplayers, tracking down a homeless man and even evading a large cohort of football fans who are hellbent on preventing those lucky boots from getting anywhere near the stadium.

Anicka just may become a believer in the old saying: Everything happens for a reason.
