Peter Raap, BS (Biology), MA (Stanford—Secondary Education); A 43-year foster parent, biological parent, Biology teacher, dog trainer, horse trainer and goat breeder explores how the various facets of a teen’s personality develop, leading to an understanding of which parts of the personality are the best to use to effect changes, and which are almost impossible to change. He then pieces together similarities in training methods used for mammals, and applies some of these techniques in shaping the behaviors of some of society's toughest teens. Pete tackles the most common issues of Dis-Respect, Mis-Trust, and Dis-Obedience, and shows how to use the tools of Language and Currency to alter these thorny problems. The methods are simple and effective and may be applied in the parenting of children of all ages.
