Have you ever shed green tears?

Green tears? Tears have no colors . . . . Perhaps not. But in shedding tears of pain, disappointment, or anger, we experience different emotions, perhaps sensed as different colors. Orange, blue, yellow, white . . . among such colorful tears, maybe even green?

Rainbow Tears tells children, “Tears aren’t just for sadness -- you can cry tears of happiness, too. Green tears are shed in happy excitement, when you are strongly moved. They’re shed when you finish something after hard work and effort. As tears betimes comfort our sad, fearful, or upset hearts, so should we also become happy crybabies from time to time, shedding green-tinted tears.

Much as we adults at times need strong resolve to again face the world with spirit, so Rainbow Tears offers children the warm comfort of sad tears and the happy encouragement of green tears.
