Becoming a goaltender in the NHL was my singular dream, the one star I aimed to reach and hold. Mission accomplished. Two years back, I stood as the league’s top goalie for the third time, and with our Stanley Cup triumph, the Austin Arrows soared to the pinnacle of the hockey universe. We were untouchable, invincible.

Or so we thought.

Turns out, even at the zenith, gravity can pull you back to the depths. But the plot thickens. Not only did the team tumble from its throne, but I followed suit. Wrongly accused of something I didn’t do, I’m now on a quest to polish my sullied reputation.

The catch? I’m clueless on how to do it.

When the idea of orchestrating a media ruse is floated, I grasp the gravity of the situation. I know there’s only one correct path forward. Yet, it’s a tangled web, and I’m not the only one who could get hurt.

There’s just one major problem.
