Tejano Kings and Queens is a book about the rise, fall and rebirth of Tejano Music. As the CEO of Tejas Records we are the one of the last labels in this genre. It is alive and doing very well. This is the story of our company and the breaking of our Tejano Star ELIDA REYNA and her famous group AVANTE. It contains great insight into our world of this incredible "regional music." In detail I write about our humble beginnings, our incredible rise, and suggestions for the future of this industry. I describe how we started with one artist and took that artist to the top of this genre along with others; winning Grammys, TTMA Awards, Billboard Awards as well as BMI Awards.
