Penny hasn't had an easy life, a fact you could easily tell if you watched her pulling ten hour shifts at the diner to then go home and cook for her feisty 3 year old, Caroline. If this weren't enough to deal with, her ex split, leaving her with a mountain of debt to tackle. New clothes? Nope. Vacations? Ha! But the only thing that really got her down was when she thought about Caroline's future...


Decker Allan is a professional locator of deadbeats and liars. His Jaguar Shifter senses make him especially good at his job, earning him the moniker Red Ledger. When Chicago tells him to go somewhere and get their money back, that's exactly what he does. He bristles at the eternal hint of cold in this small Utah town, but he's here to do a job. Of course, locating his prey is one thing, but when he senses that she is the Mate he is fated to be with, he is torn between his duty and his heart.
