The Trial The Trial

The Trial

Publisher Description

Josef K awakes one morning to find that he has been placed under arrest. He is never told what his crime is or who exactly is pulling the strings in this odd world of bizarre characters. The Trial follows the progress of K as he delves into an absurd world of beaurocracy, secrecy, and corruption. Whilst many people (including the great Stephen Berkoff and Orson Wells) have visited this text before, Individual Theatre attempted to bring out even more of the original text and explore previously untouched elements of this amazing novel. Performed at Exeter Conference Centre over two nights, it was a unique and refreshing production. This is the official play script for the production.
