UTCC recognised in 2010 a pressing need to match its curriculum and its pedagogy to the world of globalised business and industry. The traditional methods of paper textbook, lecture, pencilled notes and exam were not preparing students for the world of work. We experimented with several approaches and technologies that promised to do a better job of teaching and learning. Among these was the iPad coupled with interactive learning methods and new forms of assessment. This grew into what we call iHybrid, and after five years of work we have transformed the student experience at UTCC. This book describes key features of iHybrid at UTCC.
