Publisher Description

It was the first time in the history of warfare. No mission in Vietnam was ever cancelled or postponed for lack of logistical support. No mission ever failed for lack of supplies.
For every real infantryman humping it through the mud or artilleryman stuck at an exposed firebase, there were 17 of us in the rear making sure that those guys had weapons, ammunition, food, water, medicine, clothing, transportation, pay checks, mail, and all the other things they needed. The guys in the rear did that tedious, boring, necessary work 12 hours per day (often more), 7 days per week, for 364 days and a wake up needed to keep those grunts supplied.
The grunts called us REMF's, but we kept their supplies moving. This is our story told in the letters I never sent. It's mostly real and mostly made up-just like the war.
