Colonel Oosthuizen is discouraged by the incompetence of major van der Bijl and his team of detectives, assigned to trace and arrest the serial killer who is causing panic and fear in Johannesburg. The killer is always one step ahead of them, as if he is aware of all there efforts to catch him. He himself can not do field work anymore, the injuries he sustained in an accident prevents him from it. Although he studies the leads left by the killer, he is also unsuccessful to determine the person’s modus operandi.

After a short discussion with general Swiegers, head of the South African Police, he contact Tienie van Zyl, one of his sub-ordinates who left the country and who is now employed by the New York police where he is the most successful hunter of serial killers. Van Zyl agree to assist his ex commander and from the moment he set foot on the airport, he is caught in the whirlwind of murder and hate.

Van Zyl untangle the cryptic leads left by the killer and plan a successful trap, he arrest the killer seconds before he can commit another murder. The identity of the killer is a surprise to everyone, and the end of the story is a shock to all of them!

This detective story, the second book by Theo van Biljon, is as thrilling and exiting as his first book.
