This short story tells the true tale of the author's visit to the Crazy Horse Memorial and Mount Rushmore, both in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  The visit took place in the same year as the first Ameritrek, the subject of the main book, Discovering America the Beautiful.  In this booklet, you can travel vicariously to a well-known mountain monument and to a not-so-well-known but even bigger one and sample the writing in the full book at the same time.
