Publisher Description
INTRODUCTION The introduction of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) has revolutionised HIV medicine resulting in a substantial reduction in HIV-related mortality. With the improved life expectancy in this patient group, data from cancer and AIDS registries suggest that the spectrum of non-AIDS-defining cancers reported is broadening and compared with the general population some cancers are significantly increased in HIV-positive patients [1,2].
